Introduced in 2011 for English Horn, this revolutionary design removes the need for sound dampening aquarium tubing or Teflon tape. Allows the reed to vibrate more.  (Tip: unscrew the bottom collar to set your measurements. Replace collar when you begin to scrape).  These Nickel silver staples come with a bronze collar. Why?
