Mark Chudnow Woodwinds is pleased to announce our new premium service for buying and selling used instruments. Our new Elite Used Instruments program includes only the finest used instruments MCW has to offer. Each instrument is guaranteed to give the highest level performance that the horn can achieve. All of the instruments in the program either arrived at our shop in such excellent condition that no work was needed or has been meticulously repaired and reconditioned to allow them to perform at optimum capacity. In addition to being in the very best of condition, each instrument in the program is covered by a MCW’s One Year Warranty.*

Every instrument received here at MCW is evaluated personally by Mark. After this evaluation he may recommend to the seller that the instrument be placed on the Elite Used Instrument List based on its existing excellent condition or after undergoing reconditioning to bring it up to its optimum state. Only after receiving Mark’s stamp of excellence will an instrument appear on the Elite List below.

Why did we create the Elite Used Instruments program?
Mark Chudnow Woodwinds has been selling new and used instruments for over 25 years. During that time we have discovered that often when a used instrument is sent out for trial to a prospective buyer the instrument is rejected not because of its inherent quality or characteristics, but as a result of the instruments failure to perform at its best due to poor condition or disrepair. This gives the prospective buyer an unflattering and unfair impression of the horn’s capabilities, a disservice both to the instrument and the potential buyer. Instruments on MCW’s Elite Used Instrument List are guaranteed to give the best possible impression allowing the buyer to fully appreciate the instrument’s true value and excellence. And, of course, each horn is backed by MCW's One Year Warranty*.

As part of Mark Chudnow Woodwind’s continuing commitment to offering the finest quality service, we believe that the Elite Used Instrument Program will save you , the buyer, untold time and effort by guaranteeing you are offered the very finest of used instruments. If you are a seller of an instrument on our Elite List we offer you the assurance that your instrument will be presented in the very best condition possible, providing the greatest possible opportunity to find a truly appreciative buyer.

Our standard commission is 15%. Upon determination that an instrument is to receive repairs needed to qualify for a listing on our Elite Used Instruments List we offer two payments options. Payment to be made when repairs are finished and before the instrument is listed for sale on our web site.  Standard commission applies. Alternately, payment for repair can be deducted from the selling price upon successful completion of the sale.  In this case an 18% commission is charged.
